Optimized Lifting for Tight Facilities
As specialized underslung EOT crane manufacturers, we design these systems to run on the bottom flange of runway beams which are suspended from the building's roof trusses. This architecture is perfect for light-to-medium duty cycles where floor space for columns is not available.
Our underslung designs are highly modular, allowing for easy expansion or relocation. Every unit is engineered with high-precision end carriages to ensure smooth travel even on long, suspended spans.
- Suspended runway architecture

Our Advantage
Why Choose Crane Fabricators?
Suspended Architecture
Mounts directly to building roof trusses, eliminating the need for floor-mounted columns and maximizing factory floor area.
Optimized Side Approach
Specialized end carriage design allows the hoist to reach closer to the walls, ensuring 100% floor area coverage in tight bays.
Headroom Optimization
Perfect for low-roof factories, providing the highest possible hook height by tucking the bridge under the suspended runways.
Cross-Bay Transfer
Unique capability to link with other systems, allowing the hoist to transfer loads between different bays without reloading.
Flexible Track Layout
Runways can be hung from different roof points, making it a versatile solution for complex building layouts and extensions.
Silent Wheel Travel
Equipped with high-performance wheels designed for smooth travel on suspended tracks with minimal noise and vibration.

Underslung Crane FAQ
The primary advantage is maximum headroom utilization. Since the crane hangs from the roof, you get better lifting height in low-roof buildings and zero floor obstruction from support columns.
The building's roof trusses or ceiling beams must be structurally capable of supporting the combined weight of the crane and the load. Our engineering team conducts a structural audit before recommending an underslung system.
Typically, Underslung Cranes are manufactured for capacities from 0.5 Tons to 10 Tons. For heavier loads, we generally recommend top-running designs to manage structural stress more effectively.
They can be more cost-effective because you save on the cost of independent gantry columns. However, the hanging runway system requires precision fabrication and professional installation to ensure safety.
Our designs include accessible service points for motors and wheels. We recommend regular NDT testing of the suspension hardware and lubrication of the runway flanges to ensure long-term operational safety.
